Eleco Timber Frame provides Liverpool with new Travelodge
Stonedale Travelodge, which is due to open in November, has been built using Eleco Timber Frame’s pre-engineered timber framing solution to help reduce project costs and installation time. Delivered on site in sections, the timber frame itself was quickly and easily installed, helping to keep the project within its expected build programme. James Hoban, Quantity Surveyor of Marshall (Building Contractors) Ltd, commented, "We used the timber framing system from Eleco Timber Frame to help keep the project timescale to a minimum. The individual sections were easy to manage once on site, simplifying site logistics and helping to speed up the construction process. Compared to alternative construction methods, the timber framing system offers countless benefits, the most important of which being the speed with which the building could be erected, which will help ensure the hotel is opened on schedule." The pre-engineered nature of Eleco Timber Frame’ timber framing system makes it suitable for use in a multitude of situations. Offering advanced levels of strength, the system is quick to install and extremely cost effective. Paul Dobbs, Managing Director of Project and Total Management Ltd, Whitestone Land Ltd's project management company, advised "For hotel developments up to six storeys, we would recommend a timber frame solution against other frame solutions due to the benefits of programme and cost. The Eleco Timber Frame met the design and performance criteria required for a Travelodge Hotel and we are happy to support local contractors wherever possible." |
